So, what have we here? Lets break it down for the searchers.
An original acrylic painting from yours truly (Aarron Laidig) that pairs bold, raw emotional contemplation with a striking psychedelic twist. This painting features a powerful, expressive, textured portrait of a woman with curly natural hair. A vivid blue mushroom rests inside her wide-open mouth echoing a second shroom rising in the foreground. Set against a warm, almost wood-grain styled background, this striking contrast balances dark surrealism with vibrant pop-art energy. It is blends visionary mystery, surrealism, and expressionism fused with contemporary lowbrow style. You all know I love to blend styles and techniques. Well, all who regularly follow me that is.
The original was on the easel finished for a few days in my studio before I varnished it, and from those few days, I can say that this painting can be a conversation starter.
